2023 NATA Foundation Silent Auction

The NATA Research and Education Foundation’s Silent Auction has grown to be one of our largest fundraising events of the year. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the NATA Foundation’s revenue has decreased more than 40%. To continue advancing the athletic training profession through our research, education and professional development programs – we need your support!

Please consider participating in our silent auction by donating items. This year our auction will be online and all items will be displayed “virtually” at the NATA connect section of the AT Expo during the annual NATA Convention in Indianapolis.

We will need all items delivered or an indication of delivery to the winning bidder by May 1, 2023.  Then, from June 1 – 30, bid early and often on great items, such as autographed memorabilia, apparel, textbooks, unique items and more!

Please view the 2023 Silent Auction Donation Packet for more information on how to donate.

This year, we will be using the online Silent Auction platform GiveSmart.  Instructions on how to access the platform and how to place bids will be provided on this page by May 1.

This workshop will provide the expertise and support to improve funding successes for grant proposals submitted to the NATA Foundation, NIH, DoD, and other agencies funding athletic training research. The target audience for this workshop includes junior and mid-level athletic training researchers that are on the cusp of success but could benefit from expert mentorship in grant development. Past attendees, post-doctoral fellows and doctoral candidates who are transitioning to faculty positions are also encouraged to register to attend.

Advanced registration is required. Event and registration details can be found here.

NATA Foundation Distinguished Scholars Presentation

1:40 to 3:40 p.m. Friday, June 23

The Distinguished Scholars Presentation provides athletic trainers with an opportunity to learn about cutting-edge research from other health care professionals. It also allows members from these groups to benefit from athletic training speakers who represent the profession by giving presentations at their annual meetings.

This session has two components. The first consists of presentations by our exchange lecturers who represent the:

  • American College of Sports Medicine
  • American Medical Society of Sports Medicine
  • American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine

The second portion of the session includes the recognition of the NATA Foundation’s 2023 research award recipients and Free Communications awards.
