About the Research Program

The NATA Foundation Research Committee is charged with reviewing grant proposals for funding and recommending to the Board of Directors candidates for Research Awards.

Grant Categories

1. General Grants

• General Grant Applications are due February 15 annually.

2. Master’s Grants

• Master’s Grant Applications are due February 15th annualy

3. Doctoral Grants

• Annual Doctoral Grant Applications are due February 15

General, Master’s and Doctoral Grant applications are reviewed in April of each year.

Distinguished Scholar Presentations

Distinguished Scholar Presentations is the session at the NATA Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposia where Research Grant Award Recipients are recognized. During this session the Medal and New Investigator Award winners present their research. Also, representatives from the ACSM, AOSSM and AMSSM present as part of the Exchange Lecture Series.
