About the Research Program

The NATA Foundation Research Committee is charged with reviewing grant proposals for funding and recommending to the Board of Directors candidates for Research Awards.

Grant Categories

1. General Grants

  • Fall General Grant Applications due August 15
  • Spring General Grant Applications due February 15

2. Master’s Grants

  • Spring Master’s Grant Applications due April 1
  • Fall Master’s Grant Applications due October 1

3. Doctoral Grants

  • Annual Doctoral Grant Applications due March 1

General and Master’s Grants applications are reviewed in November and April. Doctoral Grant applications are reviewed in April.

Distinguished Scholar Presentations

Distinguished Scholar Presentations is the session at the NATA Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposia where Research Grant Award Recipients are recognized. During this session the Medal and New Investigator Award winners present their research. Also, representatives from the ACSM, AOSSM and AMSSM present as part of the Exchange Lecture Series.
