Capital Campaign/Endowment
The principal driver of the Foundation’s Capital Campaign is a new and expanded vision for the future.

The goal is to increase the endowed funds in the Foundation in order to award more and larger scholarships and research grants. In turn, this would grow the body of knowledge, increase expertise and advance the work and practice of Athletic Training.
Genesis of the Foundation
Critical for the Profession
In 1991, NATA established the Research and Education Foundation.
The Foundation was established to support scientific study and research and to promote high professional standards for athletic trainers through continuing education and scholarships.
The Foundation is the largest national source of research and Scholarship Funding for the athletic training profession.
Impact of the Foundation
Since its founding, the Foundation has distributed over $1,900,000 in scholarships and $2,800,000 in research grants.
Historically, all of the Foundation’s revenues, including scholarship and research awards, are provided through contributions from individuals, sponsors, corporations, and NATA regional and local organizations.
